Romantic Comedy- Boy Meets Girls Meets genre

Every story or a film genre needs a conflict, and since romantic comedy is driven by the quest for love, the conflict derives therein is a genuine quest for love. Boy Meets Girl Meets genre written by Tamar Jeffers McDonald is one of the most romantic comedy popular genres in modern film and more so, a pervasive but charisma love comedy.

Romantic comedies are movies with light-hearted, humorous dramatic stories centered on romantic ideals such as a true love able to surmount most obstacles or the perfect couple. Romantic comedy films are a sub-genre of comedy films as well as of romance films. The basic plot of a romantic comedy is that two people, usually a man and a woman, meet and then part ways due to an argument or other contrived obstacles. Initially, these two people do not become romantically involved, because they believe that they do not like each other, because one of them already has a partner, or social pressures. However, an obvious clues will suggest that the characters are in fact attracted to each other, or that they would be a good love match. Surprisingly indeed, romantic comedy has been routinely devalued by audiences and critics alike. The assumption of cultural lowliness that has traditionally accompanied the genre has led most to treat romance and romantic comedy as a guilty pleasure for the public, which unfortunately is an unworthy object of analysis for academics who generally belittled it either by omission or simply through plain derision, regarding it as simplistic, predictable and hopelessly associated with a conservative view of love and marriage. Notwithstanding, the genre has taken epic center amongst modern day romantic film audiences.
