Club IT part 2

Researching Club IT’s information technology, I found some problems that Ruben and Lisa could improve to take advantage of the information resources that are available to them. Club IT has provided a good start on the growing business, but the time has come to improve the technology capabilities. By implementing a supply chain manager (SCM), using an advanced customer resource manager (CRM), and improving the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, club IT can achieve a better competitive advantage over competitors. Three areas for improving business function at club IT is updating customer technology, implementing a new website, and improving the club’s supply management chain.

Upon my research for improvements in club IT, is the internet connection. In order to address this matter I suggest upgrading to high speed internet through local cable provider. This will allow the business to have the internet access and maintain a phone line for business use. Having their internet run quickly will make daily operations run easier. This will also allow to join the social network to help boost club IT’s popularity. Joining websites like Face book, MySpace, and Twitter would be a great way of attracting young adults. I believe these sites are a convenient way to keep customers in touch virtually with club IT, providing comments with instant feedback and insight to their customer base.

Not having a website is the third problem I have found in club IT. I strongly recommend to Ruben and Lisa to implement a creative website, where customers can buy tickets online and not have to wait. This will allow the shows to sell-out in advanced as well. By designing a new website, Ruben and Lisa can offer discount coupons for VIP customers, as a way of rewarding their clientele.
