People use energy resources for just about any and everything. It can either be renewable or non-renewable source of energy. Renewable sources are use and have an infinite amount while non-renewable sources of energy must be restored and there is a limited supply. While in some cases non-renewable energy is more efficient renewable is more preferred because it does not come with any arm to the surrounding area and it requires less to make it work. Some of the most useful energy sources in our daily lives would be hydropower, solar energy and gasoline. Theses energy resources would be considered nonrenewable and renewable. The nonrenewable energy resources are from fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, and petroleum. These are considered nonrenewable simply because it cannot be renewed. Renewable energy can be used over and over and also is environmental friendly compared to nonrenewable resources. Some of these energy resources are solar energy, wind, geothermal energy, biomass and hydroelectrcity.

Hydroelectricity is probably the most used energy source to because there is an abundance and can be renewed. This makes it the most reliable simply because there is an abundance of it and the water is recyclable as well. It comes from the kinetic energy from water from dams and rivers(Cionni, 2009). Such flowing water runs the electric generators through the water turbines to generate hydropower. Hydroelectricity has considerable impacts on the environment and humans that are both short-term and long-term. This can seriously lower pollution rates in the surrounding areas. . Hydropower also reduces the impact of global warming and contributes to the all around “go green” effect. Hydroelectricity does have some drawbacks as it can hurt some animal homes(Cionni,2009). A beaver dam could be jeopardy and they would most certainly be out of a home. Hydroelectricity is usually found in the end of rivers and dams. They also...
