Abortion (Prolife)

General Purpose: To persuade

Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience that abortion is considered taking another person’s life and should illegal for all cases.

Central Idea: Abortion is wrong and unethical.

INTRODUCTION

I. Attention Material

A. Do you know that during the time most unborn babies are aborted, they are a size of a quarter?

B. According to United States abortion statistics, one baby is aborted every 26 seconds, 137 every hour, 3,304 every day, 23,196 every week, 100,516 every month and 1.206,192 every year in the United States alone.

II. Orienting Material

A. Abortion takes the life of an innocent person that is a living thing.

B. There are so many reasons why abortion needs to be illegal

C. There are some things a woman can do to prevent herself from getting to the point where she needs to get an abortion.

(Transition: Let’s begin with the problem abortion)

BODY

I. What is Abortion?

A. According to the National Institute of Health, abortion is the premature ending of a pregnancy.

B. As the scientific evidence proves, life starts at the moment of conception.

1. The baby is a living thing and the killing of an innocent human being is wrong.

C. Abortion is simply selfish, unethical, immoral, murder and human slaughter.

1. The US government consider unborn babies to be human beings

2. The federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, states that under the federal law, anybody intentionally killing or attempting to kill an unborn child should be punished.

3. At least 38 states have passed similar fetal homicide laws.

D. What is missing today in our society is moral values. Some people just choose to be negligence and use abortion as a form of contraceptive.
