MY BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW

In this essay I will talk about the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and

civilization as they relate to the book of Genesis chapter 1-11. In Genesis 1 it tells of the

beginning of the world and how God created the first man Adam. Genesis 2 continues the

story of the beginning of the human race and the first woman Eve. Genesis 3 tells us of

the beginning of sin and how the first people get kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 4 tells of the first family and how sin flows in the world when Cain kills Abel.

Genesis 5 tells of Adam’s family history. Genesis 6 tells how the human race becomes

evil and God find one good man Noah. Genesis 7 tells of the flood and Genesis 8 tells of

the end of the flood. Genesis 9 tells us of the new beginnings. Genesis 10 tells of the

nation’s growing and spreading. And in Genesis 11 it tells of how God scattered the

people and confused there languages.

I. First I will talk about the natural world. The Bible tells us in Genesis 1 that in the

beginning God created the world in 6 days. Dr. Ed Hindson tells us that when God

spoke the earth into existence it appeared aged. It was a paradise, perfect in every

way. God created us humans to take care of his creation. We have not done a great

job. Today the tropical paradise of old does not exist, instead we have a polluted

metropolis where we see more of man’s creation than Gods. I love to get out into

the wild and just stop at almost every corner to see God’s work. Pastor Kirk

Gilchrist told me to be joyful and praise God in all his works.

II. Next we will talk about human identity. In my opinion every person is born with a

feeling that there is something bigger out there and they ask themselves what is the

meaning of all of this. When we find God a lot of our questions are answered. We

learn that the Holy Spirit resides inside of us and we are drawn to want to Know

God....
