Summarize the style of the two managers in the cases - give examples

In the Deluxe Tool Case, participative management was used. Participative management involves sharing information with employees and involving them in decision-making. Employees are encouraged to run their own departments and make decisions regarding policies and processes (Encyclopedia of Business, 2nd ed.). In this case, I. M. Tycoon was President of the company, and also an active manger within the company. The company was broken down into various departments with set managers for each such as Director of Research, Director of Production. This type of management also falls within the category of Democratic management. They believe that seeking consensus with staff is the best way to draw on the broadest range of resources and thereby get the best results. Democratic managers also believe that providing staff with responsibility and showing confidence in them helps them to develop as employees and as individuals (Grzeskowiak, 2010). Tycoon entrusted the research of his new Robo Tool idea to Dr. Rolly Davis, Tom Terrific as project manager. There was also John Standpatti, who was director of Productions, who voiced concerns against Tycoon’s idea about Robo Tool, which is a component allowed under a democratic manager type. One is allowed to voice their opinions when new plans or ideas come about.

Using the text and other resources (all to be properly cited) characterize the two management styles you see in the two articles.

The management styles that I see are Total Quality Management and Employee Empowerment.
