African Slavery and their impact on the Caribbean Society

Caribbean is a vastly diverse area representing the effects of colonialism, slavery, and the combination of many cultures, this resulting in many impacts on the different society within. Important roles were played influencing economy change in islands because there was a shift on the main economic ingredients SUGAR. It brought about changes in race, social, political, africanization and a Creole culture. Between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries millions of Africans were forcefully sold and transported to Europe and the America’s as salves. The enormous destruction of human life caused by the slave trade. The trade enslaved Africans raicalised the Atlantic world and set in place some of the ugliest assumptions about Africans that still left an impact on the world today. The economic, social and psychological damage caused to African societies makes transatlantic salve trade one of the greatest crimes against humanity they entered with persuasive talks to their leaders also papers signed by them showing proof to give way to initiate their evil plans. Leaders not knowing of what they have done because their lack of reading abilities encouraged it. The Europeans came to Africa not for the reason of exploring their land or make close friends, they came because their mother country was crumbling to the very dusty and now with their own live investment which they plan to use the new world, also called the Caribbean,’ which was not discovered by Columbus as stated in history’. Instead slaves were created. Their life weren’t easy but they didn’t give up, they fought and rebelled against the Europeans. After years of brutality and the cracking of whips against their back they were freed with the help of white Christians where they dispersed widely across the Caribbean and Americas spreading their cultures and different ways to others interested.
