Mother Gives Birth in Backseat of Honda Fit, Plaza Honda answers Twitterverse's Call

New York, NY ­ Plaza Honda is giving a free 3 year lease to a New York mother who gave birth in a car 

while in route to her local hospital. Beth Newell, of Mamaroneck, NY brought a happy, healthy baby girl 

into the world in the back seat of a Honda Fit on May 1st, 2016. Shortly after, Newell took to Twitter with a

photo and the following, " ( @ ) Honda, earlier today I gave birth to my daughter in the back of a Honda Fit

dot It is a mess dot Can I have a free car?"

Plaza Honda, of Brooklyn's Plaza Auto Mall, heard the mother's call and reached out to the family of (now) 

four via Twitter. "When we saw this story, we knew right away that this was an amazing opportunity to 

help this growing family," said Christopher Gonzalez, General Sales Manager of Plaza Honda. "As a family 

owned dealership, we are always looking for ways to support our local community and this is just such a 

feel­good story, there's no way we couldn't get involved". 

Plaza Honda will be presenting the family with a brand new 2016 Honda CR­V at a Giveaway Event at 2PM 

on Wednesday May 18th. To complement the joyous event, the dealership is offering $500 off a lease or 

finance of any new Honda to families who bring their baby or child and buy a car at the Brooklyn 

dealership during the week of May 16th ­ May 22nd. They are calling the sales event "Baby Week at Plaza 

Honda" in honor of the special occasion.
