Operational Plan

An operational plan is developed by lower management in order to execute the strategic plans put into place by portions of upper management. It is used as a tool to carry out daily, weekly, and monthly endeavors that will help the company to reach the required goals as set forth in the strategic and tactical plans completed by those in upper management (Plunkett, 2013). In order to complete the operational plan for a company, management must be aware of the details of the other plans in place. They must then ask themselves several questions:

* Where are we right now?

* Where do we want to be?

* How will we get to that point?

* How will we measure the progress that has been made?

By asking, and answering, these questions the organization is sure to be on the right path to successfully meeting the goals of the company. This plan ensures that every employee is aware of the expected outcomes of daily work as well as helps to define short and long term expectations of the team (Job, 2012).

Organizational Chart for ABC Childcare

ABC Childcare Center is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. They provide educational childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. They have a staff of approximately 25 employees. The business has a goal of providing educational and nurturing care for all children enrolled.

Responsibilities

There are several positions in a childcare facility. The director of the facility is in charge of the entire operation. These responsibilities include planning for the organization, developing a budget, and overseeing daily operations. The director is also responsible for addressing issues with employees and parents when deemed necessary and all other lines of communication have failed to solve the problem.
