The mitigation measures can be divided into two categories based on the negative impacts that are to be negated:

* Construction phase

* Operation phase

The significant negative impacts during the construction phase were primarily due to noise, usage of resources and reduction in grass and tree cover. The following mitigation measures should be incorporated:

1. Sound barriers in the form of tin sheets should be provided all around the proposed site to reduce noise pollution.

2. Since each building is constructed independently, waste concrete works of one can be used in earthwork of subsequent buildings. This would reduce soil required for earthworks and thus lead to lesser burden on natural resources.

3. Construction projects are prone to accidents from cave-ins and equipment malfunction. In order to reduce these, all labourers must be provided with safety gear like helmets and shoes. Regular checks should be done on the health of equipment used.

In order to reduce negative impacts during the operation phase, the following steps must be taken:

1. Although development of the project will lead to significant increase in standard of living, it will also lead to a higher burden on natural resources being consumed. To reduce this, the following green building practices are followed:

* Lining roads with trees.

* Grass cover on roofs of buildings.

* Tapping solar energy through solar cells and solar heaters.

* Providing double glazed glasses in windows to reduce heat coming in.

* Rainwater harvesting and capturing surface runoff.

* LED based lighting in streets and houses.

2. Waste collection is done separately for organic and inorganic material. Organic material can be decomposed while inorganic waste can be recycled or reused.

3. Market place is provided inside the campus for ease of access as well as reducing pollution due to transportation.
