Project 1

Excel can be used to calculate weighted averages by putting in all the information you need like your grades of money in columns. Then you should find out the weighted averages for each section you have. Then you should add up all the cells up like C4*D4+C5*D5 with parenthesis and the average should come up. You need to make sure you have the formula right and you put everything in there right or your information can be way off. The predicted score is a 65.9 which would be a D. The student would need to score an 89 on the last exam in order to bring his grade up to a C. The predicted final score for the student would be a 58.6 if he didn’t do the last two homework assignments and didn’t do the last project. If a student told me he only needed 2 more percent and he would get a D and would pass and that he would do extra credit. I would say sorry but no you can’t get extra credit this is college and you should’ve ask me for help or went to tutoring that it is too late now. I would modify if professor ivy can the assignments out of those points by subtracting the total out of how many she changed and would let excel calculate the final grade. By doing this project on excel I have learned excel is hard to learn and use and that you can calculate your assignments to see what your final grade will end up being. I noticed if you put your grades in there and use the formula for weighted averages you can end up finding out your total percent. I might use excel in the future if I become an accountant or maybe by trying to find out my grade in a class, or I might have to use it a future class.
