Do you want to know my opinion on whether 6th graders should have social media? Social media are websites and application that enable users to create and share content. Now I will tell you what I think about social media.

In my opinion, 6th graders should have social media. The reason I think this is as social media is a way for friends to reunite and connect. Social media such as Instagram allows individuals to send and share pictures with friends. For example if you were absent from school for a day or you can communicate with your class mates. You can use Facebook or direct messages on Instagram to inquire about homework.

There are many other reasons why I believe social media for 6th graders is a good thing. The first is that classmates can use social media to collaborate about projects, homework, sporting activities and many other topics. Classmates can do this by using Facetime, Skype or Google Hangout. In addition to this, social media can help do exactly as the name suggests. It can help students be more social. It can help 6th graders build communication skills that will not only be useful in the 6th grade but useful throughout life. These communication skills can be used in high school, college and even way down the line when the 6th graders start professional jobs.

Based on the reasons about I think 6th graders should have social media. Social media is clearly a beneficial and productive tool, if used correctly by 6th Graders. I would strongly suggest that all 6th graders use social media.
