I choose this article because the idea of not knowing what your Boss thinks of you screams poor leadership. The author Sue Shellenbarger stated "Some managers won't give feedback for fear of angering employees; acknowledge your weaknesses, don't overreact" Managers should never fear upsetting their employees, but may need additional training on how to communicate with their employees. As for employees, one should be respectful when receiving feedback and never be scared to ask for help or ask questions.

As an employee, if I ever have to wonder what my boss thinks of me then this should raise a red flag. As employees, we cannot choose our bosses, but we can choose our behaviors.

If I were ever in this situation, I would make sure that my boss knows my strengths and capabilities. By demonstrating what it takes to win in the business through my behaviors. Ensuring that I completely understand our vision and help create a reward system to encourage others to follow and reinforce the behaviors.

After careful review, I would make sure the rest of the team fills confident though candor because trust is developed when leaders are transparent and keep their word. After all, communication is the key between all levels of management.

I would also apply differentiation among the team to demonstrate the 20-70-10 rule. It is necessary to make sure the business runs better by using this rule because people will have the ability to see where they stand in the company. An effective leader should always coach, evaluate, and build self-confidence.

After completing these tasks I would request a meeting with my boss to voice my concern to implement a system that rewards good work, and a method to properly coach employees to improve their weakness. And you cannot forget to celebrate everyone's...
