The societies are practicing culture in daily routine without noticing it but what does culture mean? Most people have a basic concept of what culture is. Based on sociology perspective, sociologists believe culture symbolize the values, belief and behavior of human that differentiate one society from another (Wood et al., 2010). The same goes to the organizations because organizations are one of the essential subsystems within any society. Thus, firm need to understanding the important of the aspects of organizational culture and utilize it for the benefit of the organization.

Managers believe that through organizational culture, corporation can attain a competitive advantages in business world. As Gilsdorf (2010) stated that organizations culture often play an essential role in affecting the organizational performance which can either lead to the success or the failure of the overall organizational. In reality, some firm success in sustain continuous growth and development by implementing a strong culture where all the members of the firm share and act together as a whole (Wood et al., 2010). Yet, not all firms could success because of the difficulties of organizational culture associated with the existing belief system in the organization and the need for innovations, creative thinking and the capability to manage with change (Wood et al., 2010).

Thus, this paper will explain further what is organizational culture is about and how it influence on the performance of an organization. As mention, managers acknowledge the significance of culture, but they still have to work through people to accomplish the organizational objective.
