Introduction

The 15 December 1995 something happened that shocked the entire professional football world. This day the Belgian football player Jean Marie Bosman won in court over all the big football organizations and thereby the transfer system of that time was destroyed. The Bosman rule has been described as one of the biggest changes in the football world.

The report will include a description of how the transfer rules were before the Bosman judgement and how the rules are after the Bosman judgement.

Shortly before the Bosman judgement there were many predictions about the impact if Jean Marie Bosman would win in court. These predictions have I tried to analyze in this and these predictions has also had an impact on this reports problem statement.

This report will have an analysis and a discussion and finally there will be a conclusion, which will conclude what impact the Bosman judgement has had.

Problem Statement

What impact has the Bosman judgement had on the football? The focus will be on what impact the Bosman judgement has had on the minor football clubs, what impact the Bosman judgement have had on the distribution of talent in European football and what impact the Bosman judgement has had on the competitive balance in European football.

This report was prepared by the data search on Southern University library. Mainly scientific articles have been found on the library's Summon, but few have been found by Google Scholar. Facts and statistics used in the report have been found through the Internet by simple data search.

In this report will there be analyzed on what impact the Bosman judgment have had on minor clubs economy and behavior.
