The function of a research design is to ensure that the evidence obtained enables effective address of the research problem unambiguously as possible. There are so many research designs which include action research design, case study design, causal research design, cohort research design, cross-sectional research design, descriptive research design, experimental research design, exploratory research design, historical research design, longitudinal research design, observational research design, philosophical research design and sequential research design (Creswell, 2012).
