Animal Farm – George Orwell

Animal Farm by George Orwell is a book of dictators. “power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely” by John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton. Meaning that power can change a person, even Napoleon that was a dissent pig became overwhelmed by power. That power made him turn into a worse nightmare for the rest of the animals in the farm. The power made him brake and change laws that he himself made for all the animals.

It all started when Mr. Jones the owner of the farm, came drunk one night and didn’t close the gates properly. The animals gathered up and talk about what is wrong with their lives. Old Major said that Mr. Jones was not suppose to be in the picture. Old Major made up some laws that all animals needed to follow. He taught the entire animal a song to sing called “beasts of England” as well. Mr. Jones heard a lot of noise in the barn no he fired a gunshot near the barn and all the animals went to sleep.

When Old Major died all the other animals were planning his dream, get rid of Mr. Jones and lead themselves. All the animals tried to help but two specially were on top of things Napoleon and Snowball.

Mr. Jones was driven after losing a lawsuit. This effects him in a way that he goes on a drinking binge. He forgets to feed the animals for days and they get very hungry. The animals were feed up with this so they went and started eating the corn. The farmer saw this and started whipping the animals. So the animals got mad and started going after him. They went after him until he was out off the property. The animals explored the Mr. Jones house and said that no1 much love in the house. They kept it as a museum. After that the pigs said they though themselves how to read and they changed the name on the gate. The animals make seven commandments they must follow.

The animals start harvesting the fields and taking care of them. Everyone in the farm does their share of the work....
