A series of poems:

The Dolphins:

‘Twas that time of year again

When heaven touched earth

That’s when we went searching for them

As our ship glided among the water

They glided with us

Something we have never experienced before

We looked into each other’s eyes and realized

Nothing would be the same again.

The wind, sun and air, touched our bare faces

The essence of beauty and nature grew deep in our hearts

Here on the ship is where we belonged

As we waited we drank wines of rosemary, burgundy, and maroon.

Dawn was about to break, as colours of golden tulip reflected among the water

The next morning came along, awoken by beaming UV rays

Before the clock stuck 10, that’s when we’d see them again

We waited and waited, for magic to happen

And there they were

Two creatures so different, yet unique

The arose from the waters mist, and as they flew in the air

A ring of tranquility formed around them

To capture their beauty; is so rare

Time froze when they were in the air

Nature’s innocence took its toll

Together they were; side by side

Harmony and serenity touched our toes

They were now in the depths of the sea

Together, forever; that is where they’ll be

‘Twas that time of year again.

Ten years later

Today we will meet

After ten long years

It seemed like only yesterday

We were sixteen years old

We fell apart with hope

Here on this gray road

We will meet again

After ten years

We will talk

Each one of us

With what we have fought through

What we have lived through

And what we have reached through

Today we will meet

After ten years

The trains are leaving

From country to country

But only one remains

A station far away

Again at sixteen

Her Dream

She walks through the lonely deserts

Day and night she searches for shelter

She sees no hope, no future, no life.

This cruel land is painted black and white

Although she has been through pain and torture

She remains silent in this deep...
