COST OF FUNERAL AND LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES:

According to Funeral Consumer Guardian Society, the cost varies for both Burial and Cremation. Burial is more expensive than Cremation. The cost of funeral burial and cremation varies according to the states in US. Most of the Christians in US use Burial rather than Cremation. Burial is the tradition method of funeral service. In Ohio, there are three different rates for both Burial and Cremation. Burial Cost Estimation for “Good Burial” is $6500, and for “Better Burial “would cost around $8000. Moreover, the “Best Burial” cost would be $10,500. ("Funeral consumer guardian,”)The above Burial cost includes only the casket, outer container, Transportation, Flowers, printing memorial cards etc. but the cost for cemetery property and grave maker is not included on that.

After looking into the Burial cost and other memorial services in US, I came to know that expenses means a lot if a person dies. However, back home burial does not cost anything. In Islam, it cost around $900- $4800 it depends upon the family. Only men are allowed to attain the burial. Mourning is observed in Islam by increased devotion and avoiding decoration clothing and jewellary. Loved ones and relatives will observe three-day mourning period. Mourning period is extended for widows. Our family members and relatives will manage the expenses, which are occurred.

The cost of life insurance depends upon the type of coverage, benefits amounts, and depends upon age. Life insurance from one of the insurance company like “Matrix Direct Insurance services” will range from 75,000 – 10,000,000 ("matrix direct insurance,”) which is very expensive in this country. In Islam Life, insurance is against our Religion and it is considered as sin.
