Definition

Ergonomic is the science of designing user interaction with equipment and workplaces to fit the user. Ergonomic is employed to fulfill the two goals of health and productivity.

Background

I choose to observe the ergonomics of women shoes type because there are many considerations when women choose the shoes which one they want to buy, including me. Either comfortable, appearance, trends, fashions, costs, or other factors, but, ergonomics sees it differently. As I stated in the term of definition above, health is important and also productivity, we do have to realized it or not, productivity is directly affect our activities. This observation has a practical impact, because I feel the direct impact when I use different shoes as well as the answers of people that I’ve been interviewed.

Type of Women Shoes and Its Ergonomics View

1. Flats

Flat heels or commonly called flat shoes. Many women say that it’s comfortable and it becomes the favorable type of shoes for most of women.

Problems :

a. Health :

It has a long-term problem, that may causes problems of the ankles, lower back and hips, all of which affect overall posture as well (depends on which people with high archs or flat feet, if people with a flat feet then it doesn’t matter to wear this shoes).

b. Productivity:

Increasing in a period of time, people are easily moving anywhere.

2. Kitten Heels

Models shoes kitten heels or the right medium may seem simple, kitten heel shoes are low heels typically less than 2 inches high.This type of shoe is very harmonious paired with semi-formal dresses and office suits (blazer,skirts, etc)

a. Health:

More comfortable and convinience than using high stiletto, so it’s suitable for people with high arcs.

b. Productivity:

Comfort and a practical design cause less stress on the person and her feet....
