Boccaccio & the Decameron.

1. Who is Giovanni Boccaccio?

Giovanni Boccaccio an Italian author and poet where he played a major role within the Renaissance era; he is also the author of a number of notable works including the Decameron, On Famous Women, and his poetry in the Italian language.

2. What is the Decameron?

The Decameron is a collection of 100 tales wrote by Giovanni Boccaccio, and probably begun writing it in 1350 and finished around 1351.

3. What influence does he have on the development of the Canterbury Tales?

He has experienced in reading books. His adventures and tragedies that he witnessed helped him write an amazing piece of literature.
