As all realize from their ordinary lives over years, humans’ lifestyles, such as music, clothing, celebrities from television, economies or even style of governing, have changed and are still changing quickly every year and decade both in good ways and bad ways. Fashion, especially in women’s fashion world, a big part of the lifestyle, also changed extremely fast from several decades ago until these days, and it still alters by seasons and years. And compare to people in the past, people in these days notice the information about the alternation of their lifestyles like fashion so much earlier through media, since the media became huge in now a days. Other than media that is as important as it, fast fashion industry started to grow exponentially with great customers support in 21st century.

The 1960s fashion can be told as the most “successful” of the decades. Because sexual idea influenced in fashion the most in sixties, in this decade, by “Mary Quant launching the mini-skirt from her King’s Road boutique Bazaar,”(Worsley, 2000) the skirt hemline moved above the knee line, which entirely sex appealed people. Since the mini-skirt was worn by young age girls, they became fashion leader inspired from Twiggy, the world’s first supermodel, who was born in London and became world known by fashion modelling in the mid-sixties’ media. See appendix 1. Also in 60s, according to Valerie Steele from his fashion history book, Fifty Years of Fashion, designers started to use new materials than other decades with inspiration of futurism. For example, “in Paris, Pierre Cardin experimented with plastic and came up with his own fabric, Cardine, for his stiff dresses.” So basically in sixties, designers tried to open up people’s minds towards sexism and desired to create the future out of fashion.
