Experiential Case Study questions

1) What type of performance (outcome) does Mr. Biro, the keynote speaker, try to encourage? Beyond the performance he SAYS he wants, what is he trying to get out of the audience?

Mr. Biro was encouraging the attendees to take control of their lives and break those patterns and behaviors that are stopping the individual to be successful in every area of their lives. He says he wants the audience to act, and understand what a breakthrough is and how to obtain it, but first of all he wants from the audience an energetic response to his message.

2) In the IPO framework, what input(s) do(es) he use to elicit the outcome he desires from audience members? Specifically, what behaviors, language, symbols, etc. does he use?

The inputs that he used to obtain the desired outcome out of the audience were the following:

* He used business attire to show the audience he is a successful man and to demonstrate he is a well kept man.

* He used a very steady and loud voice that proved his level of self-confidence and showed his experience on stage.

* He utilized two big boards to help the audience visualize on certain key concepts he wanted the audience to memorize and think of.

* He moved around excessively to keep up with the audience, he did this in order to maintain the eyes of everyone on him

* He sometimes raised his voice and jumped around to prevent boredom among the audience

3) Observe the audience as the night progresses. What internal processes do these inputs work on for the audience members? 

In the course of the night, the audience started very excited to meet and greet Mr. Biro. The first ten minutes the audience locked eyes with the speaker anticipating wisdom coming out of his mouth. After the first half hour, few of the attendees began looking around because of lack of focus on the message that the speaker was giving. The speaker later on made the audience stand up and kept it that way...
