Proposal. Export sales decline analysis.

Introduction. The main aim of this proposal is to determine the problems of export sales department, to explain the main reasons of the problems and to suggest ways of solving them.

Discussion. The main problem that we have faced is a decline of export sales. There can be three reasons of this decrease.

* Firstly, the demand of our product has fallen not only in domestic market, but also in international market. That has happened due to new complementary products that our competitors have recently released.

* Secondly, the reason of the decline of export sales may be the dismissal of Director of export sales department. Since the director has left his position, we haven’t recruited the new one. Due to this the department is not well structured and employees are demotivated.

* Finally, the strategy of saling our product internationally is too wide. Every market has its own peculiarities and we should adapt our strategy to every market.

Summary. To sum up, the export sales has declined due to three reasons. To solve these problems I recommend having a meeting with all sales managers where we will have chance to discuss all problems.

Recommendations. Here are my recommendations of solving the problem of export sales decline.

* The problem of decreased demand can be solved by two ways. The first one is that we can start new advertising program for our product where we can mention new ways of using the product. The second one is that we can withdraw the product from the market and produce new one in which our competitors succeeded.

* The second problem can be solved by hiring a new well qualified Export Sales Director. He could restructure the department if needed and the staff will see that the department again has stability and future.
