There is a countless number of bands and artists in this world. But one specific band caught my ear the first time I heard them. I was at a friends house, and music was playing in her room. A song came on, and I could not help but to fall in love with it. I questioned who the band playing was, and she said their name was Bring Me The Horizon. I went straight home and bought all of their albums and have been idolizing them ever since.

Bring Me The Horizon is a British metalcore band formed in Sheffield, Yorkshire in 2004. Their band consists of Oliver Sykes on vocals, Lee Malia on lead guitar, Jona Weinhofen on rythm guitar, Matt Kean on bass, Matt Nicholls on drums, and former member Curtis Ward on rythm guitar who left the band in 2008. They have released three studio albums and an EP. Their first EP, titled "This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For" came out on January 20th, 2005 through Visible Noise records, containing four songs. This album peaked at 41 on UK charts. Their next album came out October 30th, 2006 titled "Count Your Blessings", containing ten songs. This album has got to be my personal favorite. Then came "Suicide Season", released September 29, 2008 with ten songs. Their most recent album is titled "There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven Lets Keep It A Secret" on October 5th, 2010 with twelve songs.

Bring Me The Horizon has been nominated for many awards and have won several. In 2006, they were nominated for Best British Newcomer and won. They also were nominated for Best British Band in 2008, Best British Band in 2009, Best Single in 2011, and Best British Band in 2011 but did not win any of them. But they were nominated and won Best Album in 2011. Many people believe they should not have even been nominated for such awards because of their music style.
