Starting Point: Immigration is not a new concept. It is one that has seen a great revival in the last twenty years or so. This is because of the globalized world that we live in and air travel has made it even easier for us to migrate from one country to another.
Briefly mention the topics you will discuss: Reasons like Economic gain, cultural diversity, better quality of life and profit to certain sectors leads one to promote immigration.
Thesis Statement: Needless to say, when one extols the wonders of immigration, one must also be clearly aware of how it could create more problems than it fixes.

Topic Sentence: Immigration can be encouraged to promote economic gain and an increase of skilled workers in certain sectors.
Support: Immigrants tend to take jobs that citizens of a country do not want to take. This assists both the producers and consumers and therefore has a positive effect on the economy.
Details/Example: Immigrants are classed as a low cost workforce. By keeping cost of employment down, these benefits will eventually be passed onto the consumers as goods can be sold at lower prices.
