Response #2 African American Politics

In my personal opinion I really don’t think that president Obama and the other officials owe anything to the African American community. The reason for my response is because he is the president of all people not just African American people and there are too many problems going on at this point in time so that he can focus on the problems that African American community is having. President Obama is doing everything he has at his reach but he alone can’t do it alone without the support of other officials. On April 17th 2011 msnbc carried out portions of the National Action Network panel discussion that was entitled “Measuring the Movement” in which black leaders from around the country pledged to further critical issues impacting the African American community over a 12 month period but there has not been any other moves to address the African American communities across the nation.

The most important issue that President Obama needs to address is about the economy, job opportunities, federal budget deficit and health care there is a major crisis right about now going on because of the shortage of jobs and the economy itself referring to the gas prices and other stuff. I think he addresses the shortage of jobs and opens more jobs I think he will also be able to help the economy is the United States once he does that. Health care right about now is also a major concern in the United States because it is being taken away from people that are not financially stable and need the help from the government. Federal budget deficit is also another major issue that president Obama address because from what I have read lately the national debt is at 14.7 trillion dollars and it doesn’t seem to be coming down anytime soon because all the money that was put on the war against terrorism, health and human services department of treasury and also the department of defense.
