Preface

This document will show you how to install, set up the broadband and configuration of wireless security.

This manual is intended for users who have basic computer knowledge and some software specific terms will be used. What’s more, it is intended for users who have bought the TP-Link router product and have already install the driver. Furthermore the users have already applied the Internet service providers (ISP) and allocate a Modem device.

Introduction

TP-Link router is a combined wired/wireless network connection device designed specifically for small business and home office networking requirements. What’s more, TP-Link router complies with the IEEE 802.11n standard and can establish a wireless network, and also use WPA/WPA2 encryptions for the security of Wi-Fi connection. Therefore, TP-Link router is a powerful and reliable wireless product.

Installation

In the TP-Link router product should include the following contents include a TP-Link Router, power adapter, one WAN cable (blue), one LAN cable (yellow) and one telephone cable.

The following steps are about how to install the modem, router and how the cabers connect between computers.

1. Plug one side of the WAN cable (blue) into the WAN port of TP-Link router and link another side to the LAN port of the Modem that is provided by the Internet service providers (ISP)

2. Plug one side of the LAN cable (yellow) into the LAN port of TP-Link router and plug another side to the LAN port that is located on the host.

3. Plug the telephone cable into the line port of Modem and connect it to the analog port which is located on the floor.

4. Connected and open the power adapter to the TP-Link router and modem separately.
