One advantage of the joint postmodern/complexity lens is that managers might avoid some errors that would otherwise be pitfalls. Some of these are identified in the following list. From the perspectives outlined in this chapter, why are these errors? How might the ideas presented in this chapter help you avoid these errors?

• Failing to account for employees’ ability to learn safe machine operation methods by experimenting on their own with ways to speed up production and thereby reduce the effort they are required to use.
