AAA TIDEWATER VIRGINIA’S DIP INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP.

Dear Madam or Sir,

As AAA of Tidewater Virginia’s Driver Improvement Program’s Administrator, I am pleased to announce that our week-long DIP Instructor Certification Workshop will be conducted at our Corporate Center located at 5366 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462 from June 16, to June 20, 2008. The instruction will begin promptly at 8:45am each day and will conclude at 5:30pm. For your convenience, I have enclosed a registration form. Please feel free to make additional copies.

The following AAA Driver Improvement Program topics will be covered:

• New Changes in the Video Program

• New Instructor Syllabus

• New Administrative Procedures and Guidelines

• New User Guide Revisions

• Outline & Overview of Course Materials and Videos

In order to maintain the standard requirements in the guidelines for the Driver Improvement Programs between the individual club territories, persons from outside the AAA of Tidewater club area must check with their local AAA club and obtain a letter certifying there is no conflict of interest with the local club prior to registering for this training. A copy of the letter must accompany the completed registration form.

To be eligible for certification or recertification, all potential AAA DIP Instructors must maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle driving record. A record is considered unsatisfactory if you have been convicted of a major infraction within the last two years. Major infractions include, but are not limited to; DUI/DWI, reckless driving, license suspension/revocation, or three or more moving violations/at-fault accidents. Persons with unsatisfactory records are ineligible for certification and current instructors will not be re-certified.
