A Brave Girl in the Earthquake

May 12th is an ordinary day in 2008, it is in this day that shocking earthquake happened in Sichuan province, China.The earthquake destroyed nearly everything in Wenchan county Sichuan province.People suffered great loss in their lives and properties. Most buildings were razed in worst-hit areas with so many people, including school students, buried underneath the ruins.

I learned over the radio and in the television that a senior school student- He cuiqing- her moving story in qingchuan highschool. Having escaped from the quake, she returned to the dormitories to save the schoolmates from the ruins. But at last her right leg was deeply pressed by the cement board.

He cuiqing is a junior school student in Grade one. When the earthquake happened, she and her classmates were taking a nap. There are 19 students in her dormitory in the usual time, while in that day several students just went out. "When the ground is shaking, I have got up and went out of the domitory, coming to the corridor. After realizing the happenings of the earthquake, I start running to escape the disaster within the enough time. Suddenly I think of the sleeping classmates in the dormitory, then I come back to the dormitory to call them without hesitation " he cuiqing recalled, "at the beginning of the quake, some students think maybe someone is making a joke, but since I shouted at them that the earthquake is taking place now, they hurriedly get up and run out of the room."

At the same time, the domitory began to collapse. While the 10 classmates managed to run out of the building, unfortunately He cuiqing and other four students were pressed under the ground. With the time passing by, the teachers, classmates and rescuers were looking for them with difficulty. When the rescuers found Miss he, she had been pressed by the stone for nearly 50 hours, losing the consciousness.
