Taman Desa Putra is a very warm and peaceful neighbourhood. It has always been kept clean and green in order to keep our environment in balance and calm. But, our clean and peaceful neighbourhood will soon be tarnished if we let the new factory set up here in our housing area. Do you know that an international company is planning to set up a factory near our housing area? The proposed factory however is believed to be environmentally hazardous. With the great concern surrounding the destruction of the earth, the immediate and direct harm caused to human body is also important for us to be considered about. Let us now look at the relevant questions on how all pollutions initiated by the factory may affect our environment and bodies.

The factory will be built near our reservoir that we keep clean for generations. Its power plant will use the water as a coolant. The water used will then be returned back to its natural environment at a higher temperature. This process will caused degradation of water quality where it changes the ambient of the water quality. Process like this is called thermal pollution. Thermal pollution affects the amount of oxygen in the water. It reduces the oxygen when the water temperature became higher. It harms fish population thus lead to the imbalance in food chain. But when the water temperature became lower, it affects the fish reproduction which leads to the extinction of the native fish species. In either ways, thermal pollution will give negative effects to the ecology.

It is proved that every factory will disposed a lot of chemicals which is poisonous and lethal into the environment. Chemicals pollution damages the environment and poses both short and long term health dangers to the human. Chemicals produced from the factory will enter our environment and contaminating the air and water. Almost all factory; industrial plants, petroleum refineries and chemical plants always disposed dangerous chemicals such as sulphur dioxide....
