The following essay will examine the Australian Aviation industry; in regards to the security methods which have been developed to combat safety threats particularly terrorism. Followed by a discussion into areas of improvement for Australian Aviation security, and whether the current spendature warrants the risks, particularly wether it insights fear and inspires terrorists. This essay will argue that the aviation is a secure method of transport within Australia.

Australian Aviation Region

International and domestic aviation connects Australians with each other and with the rest of the world. It is also central to the Australian economy (Department of Infrastructure). Safe and secure aviation is vital for the development of Australia, thus security measures to protect this key transport network needs to be sufficient. Australian Aviation is composed of a handful of major airlines, and a smaller number of regional airlines. Figure 1 demonstrates the extent of a major Australian airlines flight destination.

Australian Aviation Security Measures & Analysis

Security within aviation all over the globe is important in the protection of the staff and users of the air system. Security needs to be thorough to ensure there are slight to no chances of any breaches in security risks that could possibly damage either the assets of a nation or the people. In regards to Australia, the country has adopted many security measures internationally and domestically. The security measures have been implemented to enforce the protection of the users of airlines and ensure Australia’s and international countries security and wellbeing.
