The company that I will be doing a benefits plan design analysis on is Full Sail University. This is my current place of work, and like anything, the benefits can be revamped to make it a better workplace and personal life for employees. At the end of this I hope to find benefits we can add to the benefits already being offered. Full Sail University is a for profit university that caters to artistic students who want to learn about the entertainment business, media and arts.

Full Sail University started up in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio. They started off as a small school that was run out of a trailer, and it catered to people who wanted to learn about music production. After about 1 year, they moved to Orlando, Florida, where they opened a campus. When they moved, they added programs such as video production and film production. In 1989 they moved their campus to where it stands today, in Winter Park, Florida. Full Sail University began offering online degree programs in 2007 and their online department has grown tremendously since.

Full Sail has experienced much growth, with becoming nationally accredited. They were able to offer a lot more degree options after this happened. They now offer over 33 degree programs. Every student receives a MacBook Pro along with software, so that they are able to complete their program. All programs are heavily involved with technology. The school population of students is more than 13,000. The school has been known to produce many Grammy and Oscar winners. This school does not offer on campus dormitories, but does have close relationships with apartments around the campus that give students discounts. The founders and owners of Full Sail University are Garry Jones and John Phelps. To this day, Garry Jones is the Campus President who oversees day to day operations.
