Abstract
Leadership is a skill learned in today’s business world as well as taught in
Universities. You can be a good manager, but may not be able to lead people and be a good
leader and not be able to manage. Many leaders face challenges of earning trust and
commitment of organizational members. Trustworthiness can help with the evaluation of a
person who has low self-worth. The interpersonal trustworthiness is an individual
assessment of the likelihood that another party can be trusted to honor duties inherent within a

The global market is competitive and dependent on employees creativity and
commitment. In the business world, the importance of understanding the relationship behavior
perceptions about leader’s trustworthiness, and the ethical duties implicit in the psychologioical
contract has become increasingly important. One leader has observed that in the business
market that the leaders must resist the powerful temptation of self-interest and must be
motivated by broaden values and principles based on a morally established duty. As a leader,
one must realize that your values are important to your success whether it is in your career goals
