The first article that I read about is called Uncle Sam Pays for Your College. It states the differences between the Post 9/11 GI Bill and the Montgomery GI Bill. Both are good ways to pay for college, but it depends on where, how and when you use it to decide which one you choose. The Post 9/11 bill pays the military member a Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) and also it will pay up to $1,000 for book fees. The Montgomery GI Bill is a little bit different. If the military member is taking classes under a certain amount then they will get to keep the difference. The article likes to focus on marines but, it is the same through all of the branches. As long as you have 3 years on active duty in the military then you should get full benefits from either GI Bill.

The second article I read about is called How to Pay for College Right Now. It discusses some of the different options you have to pay for college. You can apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may not qualify for the FAFSA but it doesn’t hurt to try for it. Certain colleges will offer full scholarships if you are able to obtain one. There are also many grants available that you can get, you just have to do your research and find them. One such grant is called a Pell Grant. When you are applying to college, make sure that you are applying to plenty of them so you have more options of where you want to go.
