Conclusion:

In the lab, it can be concluded that there is a trend showing the final change in mass was increasing as the molarity went up in majority of the trials. My part in the lab I did one of the 0.8 Molarity of the sucrose which was one trial 1. The osmosis did happen as the final change did go up in most of the trials. In the trial 1, the 0.8 molarity went from 24.6g to 29.5g which was an increase of 19.92%. In biology junction in the osmosis lab sample 3 proves that the final increase amount is as much as it had happened in the trials above.

Evaluation:

Throughout the percent change the percentages do vary because many people did the trial which caused human error to where all the data was not accurate. If one person had done all of the trials, then the percent change would not have varied as much as it did and the data might have become more precise. The trial could have been better if the amount of time allowed to run the trial was not limited to 30minutes. If the time limit had been longer, then maybe the percent of change throughout the lab would have been less because it would have given time for the osmosis to happen properly. The trial tested only one of the many substances which can imitate osmosis in a cell. The trial could have been improved by testing different substances that go through osmosis in a cell with only the molarity staying the same.
