As the supply chain Manager of the Blozis company the recommendations made to the President would be that of a complete overhaul of processes and procedures in the supply department. The expediter was extremely knowledgeable with regards to names and terminology of the technical equipment. Instead of having him involved with the direct control of the movement of products within the warehouse, he would stick directly with his job purpose and that is the expedition of materials. Also many processes of the receiving of products and materials need to get an overhaul. A current and accurate inventory is necessary to manger a productive supply department. There will be processes put in place and followed up on a monthly basis to ensure these procedures are maintained.

As the Supply Chain Manager there are many issues which must be addressed to eliminate further confusions and complaints. The whole receiving process has to be overhauled, with not knowing what has been received and what they currently have in inventory is unacceptable. Everyone within the supply Department has a role and must stick within their role. When positions start crossing over there will become immediate confusion as to what has been accomplished. The last important issue is that of making sure the Engineer and Production manager are passing on the accurate descriptions and specifications.

Control is the most important factor of the Supply department, immediately there must be some control on the movement of materials and products into and out of the storeroom. As products are received they must be documented and signed off on by the receiving clerk and there must be a matching purchase order to go along with bill of lading and/or packing slip. Nothing should come into the Supply department without an approved purchase order. To further have control the Expediter should have to sign out every product that is taken out of the storeroom....
