Why should I receive scholarship?

I feel I should receive this scholarship because I am committed to achieving professional excellence. So far I have dedicated my life to bring something different into service and industry itself. Currently all I do is connected to hospitality and tourism. I am working as a Senior Supervisor in Main Bar of The Gleneagles Hotel, also working part time as a Hospitality Lecturer at the Dundee College and also studying full time International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. The whole study, work and teaching experience is very challenging but also very rewarding as I see myself changing and progressing. My favourite part is that I am not only learning a lot but also sharing my experience and knowledge with others. I see this scholarship as a great way of further developing my skills.

Working in hospitality and tourism industry was always my dream and I have a passion for excellence in service. The scholarship you are offering will enable me to apply new skills, knowledge and experience to my workplace and further enhance my career development.

What is my objective?

By participating in this program I hope to eventually combine the best of theoretical and practical knowledge into exceptional service. For me understanding how to improve profitability and be financially viable is a key to sustainable business. I plan to learn valuable skills that I need in my development to become a hotel manager.

Furthermore, this would be an achievement that will also act as an opportunity to meet a variety of people who can assist me in achieving my goals and better understand hospitality industry to make a significant contribution.

How do I measure success?

For me success is more about intangibles such as ability to make difference and sense of accomplishment.
