1. Purpose Statement

To provide much needed infrastructure to growing electric car industry by constructing a new re-charging station and incorporating green energy solutions. We propose to build station at existing Woodrow Wilson rest stop on northbound side of New Jersey Turnpike in Hamilton NJ. Capital Expenditure Request discusses the Design, Structure, Cost, Funds, and Technology considered for solar powered charging station.

3.1 Introduction

Due to the absence of electric car battery re-charge stations along the New Jersey Turnpike, LC Associates has decided to build a solar powered charging station. This project will be completed in two stages. First stage will consist of building one recharge station at the Woodrow Wilson rest stop in Hamilton NJ as an assessment for the business model. During the second phase, we will expand our project to 10 additional sites along the NJTP which is 122miles long. We will incorporate state of the art battery recharge equipment that provides faster charging times than existing home based chargers.
