In this course you have been exposed to two major places, the Experimentarium and the Hvidovre hospital location.

During these situations you have been considering behavior in particular physical and social contexts.

Your exam assignment is concerned about how the physical context enables particular human behavior and reduces the occurrences of other.

On the basis of your experiences and conceptual insights you will consider a location like the two or Solbjerg Plads, the Kilen or Porcelænshaven (e.g. the boilerrom) or a large place of your own choice. Here you should analyze the behavior you are able to observe) only observation and your own experiences are legitimate data in this exercise).

1. With the chosen location you will explore how the physical conditions supports the behavior you are able to see now, and how effective the space allows for that.

2. In addition you are to consider new ways of physical organization of these locations allowing for a considerable higher number of people passing through, with additional number of people doing business (like where there is a fair of companies are making job offers), allowances for quiet areas for contemplating e.g. students preparing themselves or doing team work as well as the canteens offering their services closer to where people actually are located.

3. You may also locate seating arrangements, paths for walking etc. works of art and vantage point in order to create a truly transformative experience. Other sensory impressions may also be a part of your solutions.
