United Airlines is one of the biggest airlines in America and is a competitor to Southwest Airlines which we discussed earlier. Recently United Airlines has found itself among the “Top 15 Most Hated Companies in America” published by the Business Insider. It reported that over the past few years that customers have been complaining about poor “check in experiences” and poor “reservation experiences” and if the customers aren’t happy then you have no business. These “experiences” that the customers are complaining about are directed related to the employees which there is a clear problem because they are the ones greeting the customers. As we spoke about earlier Southwest believes that you must care to your employees first are for most. The company believes that if your employees are happy then in return they will treat you customers better. United Airlines can use some advice from Southwest. Employees have made it very clear that they are not happy and you can see this by simply going to their website and looking up their complaints.

Recently United had merged with Continental Airlines. This has left nothing but unhappy customers and employees. It is clear that the company has lost sight on making their employees happy. United’s own employees have said, “United does not know how to run one airline” and how they have lost their United values in the merger. The fact that the company gave up all their values in the merger and can’t stand by them alone says how poorly this company is run. Some other complaints are that the new System is slower and more in depth. For example they have to write longer sentences and short paragraphs when booking flights, changes and reservations whereas before it was easy as a few key strokes. These are just a few of a long list that needs to be cared to.
