Are Judaism,Christianity and Islam Related ?

Although there are some differences between Judaism,Christianity and Islam ; these three religions are closely related with each other. To understand this substantially , we have to examine the emergence of these three religions first.

To begin with , Judaism was emerged in the Middle East around 600 BCE, when two tablets were given to Moses by God in which the God inscribed ten commandments. These ten commandments were basically the main rules of Judaism which pretty much provided morality and ethics among the Jews. Gradually , Judaism became a system of life instead of some mere set of rituals. However it wasn't common in large regions. As it was mentioned in the book “The full impact of this religious transformation in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean civilization would come later , when Jewish ideas were taken up by the proselytizing faiths of Christianity and Islam.”1

Secondly, Christianty began as a Jewish sect . According to some sources ,from the beginning Christians were persecuted by the Jewish authorities who disagreed with the beliefs of Christians. These persecution involved punishments including deaths, such as crucifixion. It was about 4th century , when these persecutions were ceased. After that , Christianity began to spread and started to play a prominent role in the shaping of Western Civilization.

The emergence of Islam is similiar to the emergence of Judaism , as they both emerged after the word of God was given to a messenger. In Islam , this messenger was Muhammad. However , although this was a new religion and Muhammad was given new messages , he was considered to be a restorer of the previous prophets , such as Adam, Abraham , Moses, Jesus; which means Islam was closely related with the monotheist religions before it.

As we can see from these summaries of the first emergences of three monotheistic religions , they are not independent religions. On the contrary , Judaism and Christianity...
