Abstract

Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption is a book written by Stephen King. Hero of the book,. Andy Dufresne, though innocent ,is sent to Shawshank Prison for the murder of his wife and secret lover.Having went through much physical and mental suffering, Andy keeps on hoping and fighting for freedom.His courage and determination finally pay him back with freedom and happiness.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini a wonderful and beautiful epic of a novel. Set in Afghanistan and the United States between the 1970s to the present day, it is a heartbreaking tale of a young boy, Amir, and his servant and best friend,Hassan.They could be happy all the time.However,A series of things,for example, a rage to Hassan under the watch of Amir,the act of Amir to driver Hassan away,the breaking out of a war,changed their fate. Though having fled to America for about 20 years,Amir still haunted by his cowardly actions and disloyalty.One day,a call from Afghanistan sent Amir to his spiritual redemption journey.

The definition of redemption

The definition of redemption can be well disclosed in the Bible as follows:

Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Corinthians 7:23Ye are bought with a price; be not yet the servants of men.

From the view of Christianism,everyone is born with sin of all kinds,which is the human nature;therefore,all things in the world,no matter physically or spiritually,call for redemption.
