Introduction

Kudler Fine Foods is a fast growing small business. Because of its recent growth, the existing human resources processes are spread out and not readily accessible between the three store sites and headquarters. Many of these processes are manual and time consuming. Kathy Kudler, owner of Kudler Fine Foods, needs to look at alternative solutions for these inefficient practices.

Human Resources Information and Employee Records

Human resources (HR) information and employee records exist in several locations: the store locations, HR department, and accounting department (Apollo Group, Inc., 2011). The store managers are responsible for securely storing their employees’ job applications, resumes, performance reviews, I-9 forms, and disciplinary forms (Apollo Group, Inc., 2011). The HR manager and assistant keep files for job analyses, salary and compensation information, and complaints (Apollo Group, Inc., 2011). The accounting department is in charge of inputting and maintaining employees’ personal information, pay rates, tax exemptions, hire dates, and seniority dates (Apollo Group, Inc., 2011).

Kudler Fine Foods will benefit from human resources information system (HRIS) software. A reasonable choice for this company is cloud HRIS software.
