Photosynthesis and Respiration

The cell energy is used for growth, division, carrying out reactions and performing all its functions

Photosynthesis is the food-making process of green plants. It takes place in the leaves of green plants. The structure of the green plants is called chloroplast. There are three stages of photosynthesis is Capturing of energy from the sunlight, Using the energy to make ATP and reducing power in the form of a compound called NADPH, and the last stage is using ATP and NADPH to power the synthesis of organic molecules from carbon fixation. Photosynthesis occurs because it furnishes life, directly or indirectly, with chemical energy in organisms. Photosynthesis is important to us because it produces oxygen gas, which is needed for human respiration.

Respiration or cellular respiration is the release of energy by combining oxygen and glucose. Respiration takes place in an organelle of cells called the mitochondria. The types of respirations are aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration takes place in the presence of or with the help of oxygen. Anaerobic respiration takes place without the presence or help of oxygen. The stages of respiration are glycolysis; two phosphate groups attach to the glucose molecule and the glucose are split into two identical compounds. The second is Krebs cycle; In the Krebs cycle, the hydrogen atoms are removed. The last stage is Electron Transport Chain; each molecule in the chain has a stronger attraction to the electron, so the electron continues through the chain until it reaches an oxygen atom at the end, where it forms water and is released.

Photosynthesis and Respiration is important to me because photosynthesis gives us food and respiration gives us oxygen. They are important to each other because of the balance. Reactions of one are the products of the other.

Both Photosynthesis and Respiration transform energy in one way or another - storing it or releasing it, they...
