Idea Generation & Screening

1. Heads Up Display Navigation for motor vehicles

Positives:

i. The HUD Nav will allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road. This would be a more attractive feature than the current in dash navigation systems that are in many high end vehicles today.

ii. Can be coupled with current voice command systems to allow ease of use. This simplicity could expand the market making it more appealing to customers.

Negatives

i. Technology could easily be mimicked by attaching an iPod (by Velcro or other means) to the dashboard so that it reflects onto the windscreen.

ii. May not be easily visible in the day light.

2. Holographic display devices for live sporting events

Positives:

i. The device would be of varying sizes, and would basically be the next step after 3D TV. The market would consist of sports bars and wealthy individuals.

ii. This product would allow the viewer to watch a sporting event as if they were actually there.

Negatives

i. The camera angles needed would require a substantial investment from the broadcasting companies, who have yet to invest in 3D television.

ii. Technology has yet to be perfected in order to allow for viewing a hologram form any angle.

3. Electrochromic car windows

Positives:

i. Electrochromic car windows would allow drivers to adjust the level of opacity of the windows to adjust the amount of light that enters the vehicle similar to window tinting.

ii. The market for this product would start with high end automotive manufacturers but then move on to other manufacturers as the popularity of the product increases.

Negatives

i. Many states currently outlaw or regulate the opacity of window film. While this would not be a window film it may eventually receive the same legislative treatment....
