When I was 7 years old, my teacher asked me what I want to be when I grew up. I said that I want to be a doctor. It was because I only know that a doctor is a good occupation. At that times, many of my friends want to be a doctor too. Then, when I grew up, I realized that there were many good occupation that we can choose. I started to think that if my choice was good for me, am I good enough to be a doctor?

When I was in Elementary School, I studied hard to achieve my dream,to become a doctor. I always depressed because I must study Biology, Physics and Chemistry. There were too difficult for me. Finally, I realized that the proffesion of doctor was not suitable for me. In form six, all of sudden I became interested in Economic, business and accounting. So, i meet my counsellor and asked about her opinion. She said that I should take that opportunity to study hard and success in those subjects.

In a mean time, I got good result in my STPM especially in those subjects. So, I choose to further my studies in Banking course. Then, I choose Bachelor of Islamic Banking course when I apply to futher my studies in KUIS. There were reasons why I choose Islamic Banking as a course to futher my studies.

First, I wanted to study about Islamic finance so that I can to be an banker who is working by folloming the syariat. There were many advantages for us use to use Islamic Finance than conventional especially we as a muslim. they were extremely different in many ways. The key difference is that Islamic Banking is based on Shariah foundation. Thus, all dealing, transaction, business approach, product feature, investment focus, responsibility are derived from the Shariah law, which lead to the significant difference in many part of the operations with as of the conventional.

Besides, the foundation of Islamic bank is based on the Islamic faith and must stay within the limits of Islamic Law or the Shariah in all of its actions and deeds. The original meaning of the...
