The Jewish faith has always been a source of intrigue for me, because of my hunger to know more about this old Abrahamic religion, I have chosen to explore it more in-depth.

1. Discuss any misconceptions you had about the religion you researched.

2. Analyze how your prior understanding about this religion was altered (if at all) through your encounter.

3. Discuss whether you believe misconceptions about other people’s religion are common and explain why or why not.

4. Recommend at least one (1) step that could be taken to minimize misconceptions people have about religions not their own.

Exploring Judaism

I think from the time I was able to walk and talk, or to understand anything about religion, I have heard that the Jews are the chosen people, that Judaism is a special religion. This assumption heightened my curiosity and intrigue throughout my young life. The need to satisfy my curiosity and intrigue has prompted me to choose Juidaism as my Religious topic to explore further.

To satisfy this hunger for knowledge of the Jewish faith, I will attempt to explore the misconceptions I have had on Judaism and how best to resolve that misconception. My mythology of doing so will be through personal interview with an individual of the Jewish faith and online religious service. I will also explore the true meaning and origins of Judaism.

Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic world religions its origin dating back nearly four thousand years with its roots Canaan which is now Israel and Palestinian territories (http://www.patheos.com/Library/Judaism.html), with patriarchs such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the prophet Moses.
