Why shouldn’t we need a license to become loving and responsible parents, something that is considered one of life’s most challenging and demanding jobs? Although many people feel that they have the right to give birth and bring up their children the way they want, many others believe a parent license could be a good solution for a variety of reasons.

First of all, convincing parents to apply for a license will help ensure that they will be more responsible and loving parents. One of the most important things when it comes to being responsible parents is people should have the right reason for bringing a child into life; deeply understand that the child is not involved in fixing their relationship or saving their marriage. People who want to become parents should attend a special course, which would be funded by the government and throughout the course; they would gain an extensive knowledge of how to provide financial support and a good education for their children. Understanding children’s development and their needs is really important too; nowadays, even though living standards are higher, many parents still do not spend enough time with their children. The course will also focus on how to balance work and family well because children always need a loving mother and father with them rather than a nanny or a baby-sister.

A further argument in support of the reason why people should get a parent license is that they could save the lives of many children who suffer from abuse, neglect or cruelty.
